Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth feature-2

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth & Tekken 8 have been huge successes on Steam

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 came out on PC this week and from the looks of it, both of them have sold well on Steam. Okay okay, they are nowhere close to what Palworld has achieved this month on PC. However, both of these games have outsold their predecessors.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is currently the biggest Yakuza/Like a Dragon launch on Steam. The game had a peak of 34.3K concurrent players. Moreover, it has Very Positive Reviews on Steam.

Similarly, Tekken 8 had a peak of 49.9K concurrent players on Steam. For comparison purposes, Tekken 7 has a peak of 18.9K concurrent players. So, Tekken 8 saw an increase of 164%. That’s huge for a fighting game. Right now, T8 falls behind SF6 but it has surpassed MK1. Mortal Kombat 1 had a peak of 38K concurrent players. On the other hand, Street Fighter 6 had a peak of 70.5K concurrent players.

Another thing to note is that both Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 appear to run incredibly well on PC. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth supports both DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0. On the other hand, Tekken 8 supports one hell of upscaling techniques (but there is currently no support for Frame Generation).

As we’ve reported, Bandai Namco has also addressed the crashing issues that plagued T8’s online mode. I’ve been playing Online Ranked matches these past couple of days without encountering a single crash. So, kudos to the developers for acting fast. I’ve also seen some reports about cheaters. However, I’m not certain there are currently any macro cheats or script cheats. People claim that some macro cheat engines already work with Tekken 8. Again, I can’t confirm anything like that. What I can say is that some characters feel way more powerful and quick than others. So, hopefully, Bandai Namco will bring some balance tweaks in the coming months.

Lastly, our PC Performance Analysis articles for both of these games will go live later this weekend. So, stay tuned for more!
