quite possibly some of the best writing ever in a game, sadly it ends in a cliffhanger because they didnt have time to make the whole game there is so much missing content, what i wouldnt give for a nightdive remake with mouse support, its very similar to tomb raider and dark souls. Id get the dreamcast version with the texture mod if i was you.

only its not coming back its one area that doesnt look like original game, its a nothing burger.

It was a mature kind of fantasy, fascinatingly otherworldly and incredibly intriguing. It’s old, 99-00, but at the time, I don’t think there was anything anywhere near something like it, and what it did with the real vs spectral plane physical differences in geometry and interaction, and Raziel’s skills evolving, and the soul reaver evolving and the whole tone of the story… Ooffff, it blew my mind in a million pieces and still does. No one really expects a release, but it’s a caress to the soul to see even a bit of an ancient game come back to life with new graphics, AND there are a handful that actually grow bigger and get released into fan remakes or big mods.
