Take-Two attempts to shut down the “Red Dead Redemption PC Remaster” project
Last month, we informed you about a Red Dead Redemption PC Remaster project that DamnedDev has been working on. This project was basically a mod for the PS3 and X360 versions of Red Dead Redemption. Basically, think of it as all the texture packs we’ve been getting for the Nintendo Wii/WiiU games. However, it appears that Take-Two is currently trying to shut this project down. Modders are already working on an unofficial Red Dead Redemption Remaster for PC, first screenshots
Red Dead Redemption has not been released officially on the PC, however it appears that an unofficial remake is already happening. This remaster, called Red Dead Redemption: Damned Enhancement Project, will be based on the Xenia/RPCS3 versions. However, only PC gamers will be able to enjoy this remaster. Red Dead Redemption already runs faster on Xenia than on Xbox 360 with almost perfect graphics
Last week, we informed you about Xenia, the best emulator for Xbox 360, running Red Dead Redemption. While that version of the X360 emulator was able to run the game, it was plagued by some awful vegetation glitches. YouTube’s ‘ZEROx’ has shared a video, showing 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the Playstation 3 version of Red Dead Redemption running on the RPCS3 emulator. The good news here is that it appears that the game is almost fully playable on RPCS3. The bad news is that it currently requires the best CPU in order to be played.
